The program includes classroom training, simulated electronic trading, and opportunities to attend presentations given by prominent figures in the trading industry. We are seeking an experienced financial professional to act as an Assistant to our Head Global Risk Manager. This position will be interacting with a number of existing groups in our organization such as trading operations, accounting/finance, and developers. On a daily basis, this Global Risk Assistant will be expected to work with our Head Global Risk Manager in monitoring global risk and coordinating with our individual desk risk managers to ensure that firm-wide risk stays within acceptable tolerances.

Skills/Requirements:

• Previous experience in evaluating options and futures risk.  Prefer experience with financial firms, such as trading firms, investment banks, or hedge funds.
• Strong knowledge of options instruments (pricing, margining, implied vs. realized volatility, term-structure of implied volatility, standard greeks: delta, gamma, veta, etc., volatility smiles and their risks: skew, etc., vol of vol, trading conventions, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of other financial instruments, their risk, and trading conventions (equities, bonds, futures, forwards)
• Strong communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations

Education:

Undergraduate degree from a top four-year institution in one of the following (or similar) areas:

• Business (strong financial focus)
• Mathematics
• Statistics
• Economics
• Engineering
• Physical sciences (physics, chemistry, etc.)
